I just joined the forum, so hello to all of you who didn't see my post in the lounge.
My buddy purchased a '95 9000 CSE, just got it on the road Saturday(10/9), and last night the motor blew. #4 Connecting rod is laying in the road somewhere, hole in the front of the block and cracked oil pan, Piston is destroyed and seized in the bore. Now to my questions: 1) Are any other engines or blocks compatible with this car, or used as an easy performance upgrade? 2) What is required to remove the cam shafts and head? I have the valve cover off and all the cam guides/locks removed, but obviously still connected to the timing gears/chain.(Looking for damage) 3)Recommendations while we have this bad boy torn apart? Engine should be getting pulled soon. I appreciate any input whether it be stock or performance oriented! Thank You -Kurt |

TTT
Car is still on jack stands. Engine will be purchased soon, but this car is not a driver, so we're looking for some "easy" perfomance modifications to do while the engine and transmission are out of the car. Any and all suggestions are appreciated, turbo swap, manifolds, cam shafts....whatever. I know someone on here has some little golden nugget of knowledge. Thanks -Kurt |
