Default Cluster lights and chime at start?

Twice over the past several days upon starting my '04 9-5 Aero I hear a (warning) chime and discover several of the instrument cluster warning lights are illuminated. In both instances I have immediately keyed off the engine, restarted, and the chime/warning/lights episode does not repeat.

Thoughts on what might be triggering this (currently) intermittent episode?

Thanks,

my '03 aero just started doing something similiar, although not while starting. Last night and again today I got a chime and the TCS, brake, ABS and warning light came on. The tac and speedo did not work either, but the boost and temp meter worked fine. I didn't get a cel and nothing on the SID. I have researched a little. Seems my problem is either a wheel sensor or the ABS unit.

I don't mean to hyjack this thread, but we may have the same issue, so if anyone has any ideas, please post them up.

VT,

How old is your battery?? could be a sign of impending battery going dead.

Go ahead and leave the car on and remember what lights are on next time it happens. If it is in face the TCS, Brake, ABS, and the big excited triangle lights, then chances are your ABS module has failed as they often do.

Go to www.modulemaster.com and check out what they can do for ya, that's where I got mine remanufactured and it works great!

That's what I figured mine was. According to searches, I can run it as is until I get the money to take it out and send it off. I am putting Bilstiens on the rear this weekend, and was going to save up for the front, but it looks like I will have to do this first.

Just note that you won't have anti-lock brakes until it is fixed.

BBA Reman also does the ABS module repair, but as with SectorNine50, I send mine to Modulemaster. Cool bunch of guys there.

Mhowie, which lights are on? No worries, the system supposed to check through when you switch the ignition to on and the SID will say CHECK OK, if all is well.
