Default Modifying an ICM3 unit

I've been reading threads about people swapping out their icm1's and 2's for gps units and had an idea.

I have an icm3, with sat nav and tel2, so I don't want to get rid of it, I want to enhance it. From what I can see the color screen is just an ordinary LCD display.
What Im thinking is, what if I can find a small TV or monitor with the same size screen, rip them both apart and merge them together?! keeping all icm3 functions and oem look, but making it High Def and with AV inputs at the back!! then if I got the dension ice link or mobridge, I could plug a video ipod or tv reciever into it! or a carputer! could maybe make it touch screen!

what ya think?

I doubt it would work because whatever is outputing to that screen is probably tied to the resolution of that screen. So basically, you'd need the same resolution screen. I could be wrong though.

High resolution screens can display lower resolutions.
