I would like to know where to find info on replacing the ac condenser and the brace that connects one fender to the other ( holds the hood latch) or even get some info here. It would be easier than playing it by ear, if I had some idea of how to proceed.

The bonnet slam panel is simply bolted on, you will see pictures where people have removed this panel to install a bigger intercooler. Only thing that needs disconnecting is the bonnet release cable. Just remove the bumper & lights & look for the other fixings.

sorry to see the reason (in the pic) that's leading you to replace the components - hopefully no one was hurt during the process of sheet metal modification -
You'll need a fairly large wrench (adjustables work fine IF you've got the room to use them) to detach the AC lines from the condenser - the mounts are fairly obvious once you remove the hood - |

Thanks guys. The hood is off now. Tomorrow I'll unbolt the slam ( and it did )
panel. I've got one from a parts car. Steve, thanks for the concern. It's a new acquisition. A 91 with nice features, except for the customization. Best of all it seems rust free.

Are you planning on using the AC? If not, then just leave the condenser off. I removed mine by removing the grill, bumper skirt, and then dropping it out the bottom.
Seeing the amount of work, I think you should just take the whole bumper off, not hard. |

Thanks for the info. The condenser was easier than I thought.
Here are the after and during pics. For the heck of it. Everything works. Even the wipers for the head lights.
