Default Radio Code

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and the owner of a 1991 non-turbo 9000s.

Anyways, so I was dicking around with the car this weekend, and as per the cold weather and old battery, I needed a boost to get it going. However, after the boost, the theft prevention system for the radio kicked in and it asked me for the code, so I turned it on and immediately gave it teh wrong code accidentally. Since then, I've gotten the right code, however I've been unable to enter it as the wrong code is still showing and locking me out. I've tried disconnecting both the fuse, then the battery to no avail, The wrong damn code still remains, does anyone have any ideas as to how to reset the radio short of disconnecting/reconnecting it or just shorting out the battery? (which im sure is a bad idea)

Thanks in advance for any info, I'm dying with no music.
Zippy

How long did you leave the battery disconnected for? I may be wrong, but I recall that you might have to leave it disconnected for half an hour or something like that?

Simon.

Disconnecting the battery won't do anything. Hold done the "band" button until it allows you to enter the proper code. Leaving the bettery disconnected for half an hour will clear the memory too, but the best way to do it is leave it disconnected for 30 seconds while you step on the brake to get all the power out of the car.
