That's funny. Back when I was like 15, the city was replacing a bridge, so ithey had one of them telling motorists when the bridge was going to be closed. My friend and I were walkin around at like 1 AM, went up to it, and we wanted to change the message. I won't say what we wanted to put up on it, but we never got to do it. The box was open on the unit, but a password was needed, and we tried to guess it, but we couldn't.
They had one alongside the highway that told drivers that there were undercover highway patrol officers ahead. And there were.

That is awesome!

That and Hornets' comment remind me of that new...is it a Focus?...commercial. Where you can hear the car thinking. Owner parks it and goes inside and the car is like "Wait?! What are you doing? I've got a map! Let's go for a driiive!"
Would have been a cool Saab commercial I think. That commercial certainly makes me think of my car. I swear when I'm doing 50MPH I can feel my car saying "too slooow...go faster!!!"

The thread title made me think of .hack//SIGN (pronounced "dot hack sign")

That's funny. I always wanted to mess with one of those.

Hehe reminds me of that time I was really hammered and changed a 15mph speed limit sign to a 45mph speed limit sign with a black marker
