Default Got my new wheels

Got my new wheels will put them on tomorrow for test run and then I will do refurb them once I get time and decent weather.

They are from a Saab 95 Aero

225/45-R17 All around Michelin Pilot Sport tyres almost new, I am impressed.

OK and here are the new wheels going on

Now I need to paint the new wheels ... refurb them a bit.

What was wrong with the 6 Spokes? They looked like they suited (albeit Audi-ish) the car really well. Hope you enjoy the new ones though!

6 spokes had some lame tyres on 205/40-R17 the previous owner put on ... and managed with a combination of our lame roads to get all 4 alloys in really bad shape. The whole car was bouncing not good.

I know the others looked better but they couldn't handle the Turbo boost I think plus the low profile tyres did not do well.
the factory ones are much better ride

I prefer those 3 spoke sport wheels personally. (was seriously considering a set for mine) I think the car would look a lot better with the SE lip, valence and skirts though.

I know, I am in the progress to find some kit ... and put on.

It is the SE model ...I assume you mean something like an "Fake" SE Aero edition?

I keep an eye looking for a used rear wing

The trim is standard saab stuff, which i thought came on SE models. (we're not talking aero/viggen bumpers/skirts here)

mmmm I think there was a special SE version after 2000? that had the rear wing/side skirts ... and gave an Aero look.

My lower front lip ... might not be able to notice it much as I have repainted my front bumper and have all the black plastics colour coded as an experiment...
I think I will do the rear bumper all blue as well so will not have black protecting strips all around they will all be colour coded.
Weather allowed for my to get my spray station going in the back garden lol.
At the moment I am on the mission to do the wheels on two colours ... weather forecast for tomorrow looks grim ... so more likely to do sanding only and maybe a bit of primering.

Yes I just found this 93 SE with what you mean
http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=saa...1t:429,r:1,s:0

Mine is an early SE version '98 ... I assume they added the body touches afterwards

Thumbs up

I am looking at doing the same thing (click here). Do they seem to fit well? Is there any rubbing like when turning?
