Bad ball joint? GRR

Alright, a lil background ive got a set of Koni Springs and kyb gr2 shocks, when i had the stock suspension i didnt have this problem but some time after putting the aftermarket suspension ive developed a rattle over speed bumps and small potwholes at low speeds, so today i finally pulled the wheel off took my trusty mallet and hit the bottom of the ball joint and it seems loose as all , so im thinking ive got a ball bad ball joint maybe the stress of the lower suspension has something to do with it, First question Has anyone heard of this? Second question Anyone gone this route to fix it? by just changing the joint itself

I've replaced the rubber boot on both balljoints, about two years apart. You have to replace them and repack the balljoint w. grease when the rubber cracks open, and before the grease leaks out and the balljoint gets ruined. I used the kit from Saab, about $25 per side.

If the joint is really loose, it is too late for a new boot. It's one of those pay a little now, or a lot later things.
