I am reading in the SAAB WIS about removing my head, and it mentions that I need Wedge 83 95 238. I can see the spot between the frame and the engine where I want to drive it in to hold up the engine, and I was thinking I could probably make this wedge from a peice of wood. Does anyone have the dimensions on this piece?
Did you figure out the dimensions for the wedges? I need to make a set as I'm changing the serpentine belt. These are called for to support the engine while the engine mount/bracket is removed.
I did see another suggestion that a floor jack could be used to support then engine instead of the wedges. Would be interested to hear if anyone has tried that method.
It's just a little chunk of wood about 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick.
