I have a 2005 Saab 9-5 Aero wagon that I am parting out due to it being in an minor accident that totaled the vehicle because the replacement parts were so expensive. Damage consisted of front end damage to the bumper, hood, radiator, ac condenser, intercooler and headlight housings. Everything on the car works great, engine still runs. Vehicle had 103,000 miles on it and ran great. Tires are almost brand new, I put them on 2 weeks before the accident, so they have a little over 500 miles.

Specific parts for sale:
Tires - Continental Extreme Contact DWS size 225/45/17 $450 (paid $515 in the middle of March) about 500 miles on tires
Tires with rims $700 (rims have some visible wear)
Headlight controller unit (ballast) $200 each
DIC (direct ignition cassette) $150
Radio head unit $50
Airbags (all are intact) $email if interested
Engine $email if interested
Transmission $email if interested

If you are interested in purchasing other parts or the whole vehicle for parts or to salvage it let me know. I have the title, but you will have to apply for a salvage title once it is fixed up.

I have a lot more pictures as well if you are looking for

I have it listed on Craigslist and can not figure out how to post pics on this forum so here is the link to that post with the pictures.

Bummer man! Are you still parting or did you sell as a whole?
I am interested in the windshield cowl(plastic moulding that runs the length of the window beneath the wipers), the fuel check valve including supply side fuel line it's attached to, center HK speaker, and possibly the front seats if they are vented.

Thanks and sorry for your loss,
Matt

Seats have been sold.

Wiper cowl is available, but I think shipping it to AZ will be spendy as it is a large object.

I have removed the speakers to keep as back-ups for my other Aero.

Fuel check valve is available just need to know which one

  1. Fuel tank
  2. EVAP pressure sensor (585)
  3. Roll-over shut-off valve
  4. Float valve
  5. Evaporative emission canister
  6. Check valve, fuel tank
  7. EVAP shut-off control valve (588)
  8. Fuel filler pipe
  9. EVAP canister purge valve (321)
  10. Service port
Thank you for the condolences...

Is the "rear cargo cover" the parcel shelf? What color might it be? I'm very interested!

I see foglight switch, but no fog lights, were those killed in the accident? If not, might they be compatible with a '00 9-5 SE?
Edit: didn't read all the way down, I see the fogs are listed as sold.

what is the condition of the head unit? Faded buttons or screen damage? Could you take a picture for me? Also, if it is the 2.0t i could take the engine cover off from ya if that wasn't damaged.

Let me know

thanks

no damage or faded buttons. See the attached picture. Engine wasn't the 2.0 so cover would fit.

I just picked up a 2004 9-5 Aero Wagon and my search for 17 inch rims brought me here. I know you no longer have them, but after reading the thread I got to wondering, did you track hom much money you made parting out this vehicle? Specifically, I wonder if my buy price @ $9K was similar to what you made in parting it out. It seems there is still a good demand for parts without a ready supply.

Also, anyone have any idea on where I can find 17 inch rims?
Thanks,
Matt

The rear wiper sprayer is in attached to the wiper arm on the 2005. I know on my 07 wagon the nozzle is a separate piece located on above the window on the tailgate frame. I hate this setup over the 05 version so i am going to be retrofitting the 05 arm, motor, and nozzle on my 07. And do you think the Saab boffins made this an easy switch to do??? Nope. Totally changed the mounting of the motor and everything around it. Ahhh. But that is how much I hate the worthless sprayer on the 07.
