Does anyone know if the 9-5 3.0T engine will fit in the v6 engine bay??? i was wondering because if you do the 3.0 swap why not get the turbo engine. the only ? i have is because the car bodys are different, will the engine fit.

The engine you're talking about is a low-pressure turbo that only boosts one bank of cylinders. It was replaced after a couple of years by a full-pressure turbo 4-cylinder engine.
The 3.0L would be an awesome swap for you as it drops right in. Raggy explained that the 3.0L N/A engine was the same one used in several different GM cars and told you about the considerable benefits....
I scouted out a 3.0L Catera engine and tranny for you that sold on Ebay for something like $400!!!!!
T_Boy offered several suggestions about the feasibility of a 3.0L swap.....

I think the turbo is only driven by 3 cylinders but the boost is used on all 6.
You won't find an easier 30 hp for the V6 then a 3.0L swap. The turbo version would be fun but I don't know about what type of ECU would be required to make it work. Not to mention the exhaust and intake will all now be different. Im not completely sure but I think the intake is on the drivers side of the car than the passenger as it is in an nA model.
Like I said, the V6 engine is pretty straightforward. I just started tearing into a b235 on my 9-5 and let me tell you I was LONGING for the simpleness of the V6. The swap would be very easy. I was pulling of vacuum lines from ALL OVER THE PLACE and labeling like craZy (I've got at least 20 some now).
Do yourself a favor T-buck, go find a 3.0l, swap it and be happy. Garunteed that 3L will run like a scalded dog, it will be very streetable and quick off the line.
ul proly win... u would be bidding against a kid working at a grocery store, i cant bid too high lol... although if you type in saab 3.0 engine in the search of ebay, there is one on there claming to be a 3.2 i think. whats the lagitness of this. (sorry about the spelling, i need sleep BAD)
