with all the grille painting going on, i was thinking about doing mine. Color of the car is grey so I thought id go with an all grey grille or all black, but i feel the black might be too much. Any suggestions?
My car is dark green and it looks great with an all-black grille. I would venture a guess and say it'd look just as cool on a gray or silver car. Looking to paint my headlight housings soon too. Makin the car look mean.
How come you have a 9-3 with an NG's front grille? And so many grilles too. I have 5 personally too
I change them depending on my mood.
1 aluminum meshed 9-3 grille
1 black meshed on painted gloss black 9-3 grille
1 aluminum meshed NG 900 chrome grille
1 black meshed NG 900 on chrome grille
1 black Draken type grille under construction :cheesy: I hope will be done soon.
My camera broke a couple of days ago so I can't take pics I'll get a new one soon though.
In my opinion, Body color matched with gloss black painted mesh looks best. I have the CF one on now just cause its the only one in the US, so i thought it was kinda cool....but If i was gonna do it again, I'd get a 9-3 grille, then get it painted silver to match the car. Delete the center wing, and then put the saab badge off center on the mesh.
the reason i had the ng grille is cause I got one for cheap, then the other for free.
draken grille? whats that? this is a pic of the draken kit...but the grille is just a wing delete grille

I love your hood emblem and I designed my own too. (several as a matter of fact) It was unique until it made its way to ebay through the manufacturer. It was supposed to be for the Viggen Enthousiast Club members I was founding but that fell apart . Oh well..........
thats not neccassarly true for the fact that they generally are the same design with differnt lines, and by deleting the wing off the 9-3 grill as well as cutting out all the fins in the back part it becomes just as open as the 900 grill.....and most of the cooling air is being sucked into your under bumper for the turbo
....but at the same time stock for stock on the grill i see were ur coming from:cheesy:

you're talking modified versus stock. I was comparing the 2 stock grilles with no mods :cheesy: of course once modified they could be basically the same depending on what you do to the grille
yea, I know he sold them lol, thats where I got it. He told me that he's only ever made one on special order for someone in sweden, and then his. This is the only one in the US besides his, nobody has ever actually ordered one besides me lol. Then he went out of the CF business like a month after.
Im gonna be in montreal for the beerfest thing, I'll PM you.
theres also another grille, the "F-racing" grille that was popular in the UK in the late 90's maybe someone will chime in about it. Its designed the exact same way.
Yea definetly PM me when you decide to come to Montreal :cheesy:
