: 2003 9-5 Aero Wagon w/o $ limits

i finally narrowed my choices down to
volvo v70 R (wagon)
audi s6 avant wagon
saab 9-5 aero wagon
what im really looking for is an undercover pimp. a bigger pimp than the bmw, benz, and others that "flash" their **** and feed off of people's looks of amazement. these people put chrome whereever they can, blast their music with the windows down as loud as possible, and require attention for their low performance, all show no go vehicles. what i want is something that not too many americans have or know about, but that will step up to the biggest dogs in town. i will not replace any exterior lights, or do any kind of body kit or spoiler work. all i'll do for exterior is get 19" inch non-chrome rims, and limo tint my windows. comfort is a big part of it too, i already know my stuff for car audio, so that is taken care of. the undercover aspect of te car is the biggest deal for me.
i test drove the saab, and after giving it some thought, i believe i have decided to go for it, the 9-5 aero. i will be purchasing it around august, and i will immediately invest 10-20 thousand into it. im looking at
at the "X" ofcourse, for the performance. once ive found my performance products, though, where will i get them professionally installed? will the saab dealership technicians have the know-how to professionally and flawlessly upgrade the stock to a 324hp/351 torque rocket?
would speedparts be the best way to go? is there an even better alternative?
thank you, undercover saab pimps 8)

i just spoke to the guy that represents speedparts for usa. he would not even recommend that i go up to the stage 3 for an automatic transmission. it seems as though his product may not be what i am looking for...
Hirsch on the other hand:
offers a huge 305 package... could my search be over?

This is a joke, right.

300hp....lets now get real. You could get to 300hp with just a really good chip.

That engine can put out over 400hp easily with a few mods.

Try Maptun stage five has 350 Hp/480 Nm

SQR can get over 400hp and the link for there US rep is listed below. This would be a custom unit so it might not be listed but Frank does have them. If you want the 500hp beast he can get it for you as well. SQR also has trany upgrades.

A few mods...
maptun 350 package includes new pistons... I'd class that more than a few mods! :o

Your right, pistons are not a few mods.

SQR can give the same performance without the pistons. They also supply trollspeed and are very active in racing.

Added the link to maptun to point out other suppliers who can produce big hp# for the 9-5 owners. They also have a very nice, user friendly website for people to view dyno results.

Speedparts are not know for there extreme tuning.

I read the orginal post and you neglected one very important car that I'm sure others overlook as well and its a Dodge.

I remember some time ago reading an article on a Dodge wagon do out sometime next year that had 400hp and did the quarter mile in the low 13's. The best news is that this car cost around $30k if I remember correctly.

Nice, I like it :P I guess I was wrong

Below I listed a link to the Dodge Magnum SRT-8 that if I read somewhere it is suppose to come to market within the year. It is an awesome car with a supercharged 430hp and 480lb-ft of torque, I'm sure this will put a :D on your face.

I sell Dodge's close by (Chantilly, VA). The SRT-8 is a concept vehicle. The Magnum is definately coming to production, and will be offered with a normally aspirated 5.7L V8 HEMI (345hp 375lb/ft). I honestly doubt we will see the SRT-8 before 2005 and only then if Magnum sales do very well. I feel the Magnum will not sell up to expectations without a sedan model (9000 sales vs 9-5 sales are a good example of the US market).
