the bypass has that feed right back into the throttle body...if you get a BOV (they sound way cooler IMO) it dumps atmosphere. doesnt that effect/affect (not a grammar wiz) performance? even in the slightest?
The BPV recirculates filtered air back into the intake system, because the bpv also recirculates much hotter air so with a BOV you will get cooler air in the intake but the benifit of having a good BOV is just being able to dump the air fast
the bpv goes right into the throttle body or right past it. that pressure is being fed back in so there is no loss..but i would be assuming the loss has to be so small its not noticable

What they're discussing is that the BPV takes excess boost from the intercooler-to-throttle body pipe and recirculates it back into the turbo intake pipe. Sending the excess pressure into the part between the turbo and the intercooler would cause excessive compressor wear....
and....
A BOV affects throttle response slightly, but it's important to dump boost quickly when needed. Sound is the biggest effect of that dump....
