I was washing my engine today and I found 3 of the valve cover gasket bolts quite loose (I could hand turn them). I re-torque them, but was wondering if these bolts tend too come loose or if they need some thread-lock to keep them from coming loose.
Over the weekend I added Bar's radiator stop leak to see if it helped my heater core leak. I added the bottle to the already maxed coolant reservoir (I know, I'm a retard ). Later that day when driving my upper radiator hose broke :x. I think by overfilling the reservoir the system's pressure build-up and took the weaker way out, the old and brittle upper rad hose. I replaced the upper radiator hose and everything seems back to normal. Could this “little incident” have caused those bolts to loosen up? (or any other issues I should check)?
BTW, my heater core leak is gonne (I don’t smell coolant anymore).
Thanks!
