Hi folks. When I bought my car, the outside air temperature reading was obviously wrong, reading about 60 degrees F on the high side. It did alternate depending on actual outside temperature, so to me, that indicates the wiring is working. I installed a supposedly good used sensor, only to find no change in the readings. I'm hesitant to buy another used one or new one if there could be some other source of the problem. What are the chances that two sensors are bad? I never replaced the one on my old '87, and it was a lot more exposed than on my '91, don't know if that makes a difference. On the other hand, it seems the '90+ 9000 use a different part number. Maybe they are more prone to failure? Is there any way to test the sensors and/or the wiring? Can I temporarily substitute resistors in place of the sensor and see if the readings change on the EDU?
