While changing my oil pressure sensor on my 97 cse, I managed to break off my oil filler tube (wrench slipped). I've order another filler tube, and it comes with an o'ring. Does anybody know where the o-ring goes? The metal tube into the block is still in place, and I guess I just slip the new tube over it.
I just used some copper pipe to extend mine, cannot remember size maybe 22mm, its a tight fit but I put 2 jubilee clips on to be sure.To fit the pipe on the metal stub I think you will need to soften the plastic
Ya, supposedly you heat the bottom of the tube with a hair drier or boiling water to fit, but I can't figure where the o-ring goes? The end of my tube came off in little bits of mangled plastic...no sign of any o-ring. I was wondering if the o-ring is actually for the metal pipe into the block?
