I have two schools of thought on this and I think others have already answered in one of your other threads.
Either, roll in the split link chain which is a cheap "solution" or just leave it alone!
Some say that the chain will last the life of the car, others such as your local Saab dealership will tell you that the chain will snap with dire consequences the moment you leave the forecourt.
You might find it will just continue to rattle for a very long time. If you're short on money, so short that you can't take it all apart and inspect rather than just think the sprockets are good, then i'd be inclined to suggest you just leave it. Honestly.
What if it isn't the timing chain?
David.
