Hey all, again.
Seems everything on my car goes at once. I'm looking at a HG replacement. I was wondering if there was someone around that had gone through this already and could give me a few pointers. saab9000.com and quasi have nothing. Mainly, get engine to TDC, remove cams, keep chain hung out of the way so it doesn't fall in, then unbolt the head, right? I was disassembling my old engine, and i ran into problems lifting the head off the block- the timing chain guide kept it in place. How do i get around that? I heard somewhere just pull and it will come free, but i don't want to damage it. any other pointers are more than welcom. i'm looking at taking my turbo out, intake manifold out, and, probably a few more other things, aren't i? unless i can life the head up with the intake on it, which come to think of it, i could, couldn't i?

p.s.
reason i suspect HG is i'm losing massive amounts of coolant, haven't found a leak, occassionally smell burning coolant, and my oil breather is being backflowed and seems to have coolant mixed in with the oil on it. any other ideas? also, should i look into ARP bolts for the head while i'm doing the job?
