My dad has a 1993 k reg 9000 cd low pressure turbo. Not trionic just bosch injection. What needs to be added /changed to put it to full blown turbo. There is no intercooler either. Can it be done,if it can't what can be done to inprove engine power.
any sugestions will be welcome..
Abbott Racing do a Chargecooler which brings the LPT up from 150BHP to 190BHP.
I think this costs less than GBP700 - check their site for details http://www.abbottracing.com
Trent Saab also do upgrades but believe Abbott tend to cater more for 9000's. Depends where you are - Abbott are near Colchester, (though can get the bits from other dealers), and Trent Saab are in Notts.
If 700 is too much, Trent Saab do a lot of other bits that will bump the power up, though I'm unsure of the costs.
I forgot - there's also Hirsch (Gordon Lamb - Sheffield), though think this is more costly.
I know people who've had the Abbott conversion and are more than happy - Turbo pulls earlier, and a lot stronger.
I was going to get it done on my 1992 9000 2.0 LPT, but the extra 800 quid insurance put me off. (Bought a 220BHP Carlsson instead!)
