Clutch Trouble!

Okay, I'm pretty sure that in my 91 9000 that the hydrualic clutch has lost fluid. The pedal just sits on the floor, and the clutch won't engage. I need help in testing if it is just low fluid or a leak (so far no fluid has been seen leaking). Also, how to check and refill the fluid if possible. Or if it is just total clutch failure

Any help would be much appreciated :cheesy:

Figure out if there is leakage looking under the car.

Three possible problems:

Clutch master cylinder (easy and cheap to fix)
Clutch hose (cheap to fix)
Slave cylinder (hard and expensive to fix if paying someone)

Do a search on these three topics.

Yep, puddle under tranny, almost always the slave, but check all connections and hoses to make sure there isn't a leak there. Other wise, its the master which is easy to replace.

If you are sure its not the slave, bleed the system first, could be as simple as that.
