Have an irritating bug that I would like some root cause help with: main cabin light does not go on when I open the driver door, but works fine when the other 3 doors are opened. OBS red/white door light works fine when driver door is opened - not the same switch?

Switch may not be making ground

If you've tested the door light switch, and it tests good, then check that it's making ground when the switch is closed (plunger in). Ground is made from the switch to the chassis via the switch mounting screw. I had the same problem with my 2001 93, and the screw hole had worn a bit to the point where it was not making ground. Using a slightly larger sheet metal screw solved the problem.
