White Froth In Oil Filler 91 9KT

Does this invariably mean headgasket or could it be the result of short trips in the winter? It's coated around the inside of the place where the filler cap goes on, it's sort of a sludgy white-ish froth. Is there any way to test this stuff to find out if it's coolant or just condensation? Thanks.....

Up here in Canada, we consider it normal to see that slop all winter long unless the driver does long highway runs exclusively...

Unless your coolant level is dropping or your exhaust has a sweet smell, I wouldn't worry about it.
