As of a few weeks ago, I have been noticing oil coming from the crank seal. I will be replacing it soon and am wondering if anyone has some tips to make the procedure easier.
The rear seal is a big deal because you need to remove the gear box. The front seal is easier. You need a pair of big snap ring pliers (Harbor Freight has them cheap, made in you-know-where.) to remove the snap ring between the timing cover and the oil pump cover. The front seal is on the oil pump cover so after you remove the cover you can do it on the bench.
I cant believe I forgot that crucial info:cheesy: front seal- on the belt side.
