Here it is..... This car started as a 1989 Beryl Green 900 Turbo,

That was what it used to look like.

This is what it looks like today. I hope to get it sandblasted before the snowflies. I really didnt take too long to get to this point but scraping the hard rubberish undercoating off is very time consuming. I will keep you posted when I get working on it some more.

Well after I blew it up I was going to just swap the motor. I ended up replacing the entire steering and suspention systems. All new bushings steering rack wheel bearings springs shocks rotors pads. I bought a new motor and transmission and was all set to go when I had a vision. So my current plan is to get it sandblasted and painted. Then I plan to get The motor rebuilt and match that with a decent transmission. I am not sure who's tranny I want to use yet. For the suspention I am going to steal some ideas from some other people and do a weight jacker setup.
Right now it could go either way. I am weighing out some options and may deceided to go an entirley different route, but I dont want to mention that because normally if I say that I want to do somthing crazy people just shoot it down and say how impossiable it is. We shall see what happens. I will keep you posted..... BTW: whos "mav"?

could be a Top Gun reference.... Goose taliking to Maverick about his inverted 3 negative G dive, while "communicating with the Mig's ;)
CHRIST - i need t get out more:o
Please make sure to get a picture of the extra parts when you are done putting it back together!
You could end up a couple pounds lighter after this whole thing.
I've thought about doing that to my car, but I really don't have the patience anymore. I just want to drive the car.

Wasnt that ICE man talking to Maveric in top gun, Gutsiest move i ever saw man.... something to do with the way he took out Viper "below the hard deck"
And yes, we all need to get out more! We used to have top gun quote days in my old job, to see how many times we could use a quote from the film whilst talking to users.
Example:
User:Well, i entered my password, then clicked OK
IT:Gutsiest move i ever saw man.....

It's interesting to see the car has the brackets for the later type of seats. I didn't think those were fitted to the cars until 1991. My 1990 has the older type, my 1989 has the older type and my 1988 has the older type. So how does your 1989 have the newer seat brackets?

...ahhhhh.
looked again. you've fitted the newer brackets.
Nice one.
I'm going to do that conversion to my car. I've already got the brackets from a newer one and a set of newer seats. I'd be interested to know what's involved. Apart from the obvious.

SO as for an update...... The car is sitting in about 4 feet of snow and nothing has happened yet. But I just won 2500.00 at the casino and I think I'm sending it to the sandblasters as soon as I do some snow removal.
