Can I safely save the $100 odd and omit the outlet( drivers) side pipe or should I bite the bullet and get both new hoses?
Cheers

For whatever reason, the driver's side hose for the Viggen intercooler is slightly longer. Some people have lengthened the existing hose with pieces of the passenger's side hose, but a lot of them have also had problems with the connections blowing off under full boost. I thought it was a lot easier to just buy the new hose, even if it does cost nearly as much as the intercooler itself.

Taliaferro Saab in MO, www.genuinesaab.com I think sells the kit with all hoses for $344. I ordered my downpipe from them and recieved it in exactly 12 days.

I recommend saving $100 and making the extensions for the drivers side pipe. It is very easy to do and with my modified ECU pushing 21 psi boost I have never had and problems with the pipe blowing off. Here are pictures of the extension that I made, you can see more pictures on my site.
