:P Great, car is fantastic, ECU upgrade is worth it, went for the Abbot stage one upgrade but taking some getting used to after having my T16 900. Power is so much smoother, although i have to admit i do miss the hooligan factor!!
Anyway, only thing thats annoyed me is i drove it tonight and noticed that the left head light has a nice hole in it. Will wait and see what the dealer has to say tomorrow as they just MOT'd it. One thing though, the stereo is crap! As with my 900, the speakers aren't up to the job at all, any serious bass and they start blowing, will have to sort those out before i make the crunch decision to replace the stereo itself as i dont want to spoil the dash. Still, impressed with the car. Bit of a difference in the fuel tank capacity aswell. Used to fill the 900 up with about 40 squids, this thing took more than 50!

What happens to the display if i replace the stereo? Do i just lose the stereo info or the whole lot? Any advice appreciated as i have a nice alpine system just waiting for an excuse to be installed!

I'm glad you like the car :D As for the display it will still work but as you suspect you will lose the stereo info but everything else works fine.

Congrats!

Headlamp, you can get the glass seperatly, so shouldn't cost too much, a hole in the headlight is not a reason for failure, unless it affects the beam pattern.
Sounds like you've the AS1 unit, to replace the headunit you will need an adaptor kit for single DIN, you will loose the stereos display on the sid, but the sid will still do all other functions..
theres currently no adaptor for the display... yet...
there is however an adaptor available to keep the steering wheel buttons, but this only fits sony units at present

Thanks for the info guys, dealer is gonna replace the headlamp, car has to go back in for the drivers lock to be fixed as it isnt working with the central locking so hes gonna do it then, fairplay, some wouldn't. As for the stereo, Im gonna have a look at the speakers today to see what i can sort out there first, a shame to spoil the dash, but i think its gonna have to be done.
