i bought my saab with 15" tires but then noticed the manual mentioned something about 16" as being the best option. true? what type/brand would you recommend? thank you kindly

No prob....You have a 99-02 9-3, sometimes called a "classic 9-3" to distinguish it from the 03+ 9-3 Sports Sedan (9-3SS)

Going to 16" tires will require larger wheels also. This has a 2 fold action, the car will handle a bit better as you have less tire sidewall, but you run the risk of bending rims easier.

the best 15in tire for the money, imo, is the Bridgestone Potenza G009. www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com) is a great place to find and buy the tires you want.
