Hello to all, I've have become a proud owner of a 1978 SAAB 99 turbo. But have become very discouraged at the rarity of these fine automobiles. Not knowing to keep it or sell it,as for parts are so hard to find and also very expensive. What should I do????
I guess I could make a drag car out of it but that would'nt be very nice :nono; hehehee
Or do and engine swap....so I can find parts for it....

Keep the car original. I know the parts are hard to find, but the 99 turbo is rarer than some ferrari models, so you have a piece of automotive history there. Please don't ruin it.
welcome to the forums.

ps. I might be able to help you with some parts. B-motor 99 are still quite common here in Finland.

Yes I will keep it original  and thanks for all the in put, I feel better about it all now.Thank's Tom I will keep you in mind if hard to find parts are needed!I do have question....Im have a problem now with the car.I have replaced the fuelpump and it's getting fuel to the injectors and the car will start but stalls. That's all it will do now.I was told it might be the fuel distibutor.Tom what would be a price on that in Finland? They are very expensive here in the US.and are hard to find.
It might be your fuel pump relay. It has an safety feature that if it doesn't get any ingintion signal it will shut down the fuel pump. I believe bentley has the instrutions to bypass the relay.
Is the distributor for a 4- or a 6-cylinder engine. If it for a 4-banger they shouldn't be that expensive. Just tell if the fuel pump isn't the culprit and I'll ask the people at the saab club of finland if they have one extra.
