I cannot remove both LH and RH tie rod ends. The nuts are turning the joint as well. How can I remove the joints from the steering arms?
Does somebody know an address were I can purchase new tie rod ends?

Heating up the nut where it's tight against the rod end often helps.

No idea where to get new ones from, what model is it for?

They are SEK 198 a piece in Sweden (about 22), and are available at most major auto parts chains. This is assuming you're talking about SAAB 96 (the same tie rod ends fit all years of SAAB 96 (and 93)).

If you're replacing them, just cutting off the nut with an angular grinder or sawing them off is the way to go. Much easier.

Lots of WD-40 and use a wire brush to remove the rust on the shaft and the nut tap it gently with a hammer and spray again and again and again and again.

Do you want to remove the whole tie rod from the rack? you need a special tool called a inner tie rod removal tool, its like a long tube with a specially shaped front cup that fits over the inner ball end that you can not get a hand into.

The tie rod is expensive, you sure you need to replace yours? is it bent?

Thanks for the input.
Because I'am restoring my 1979 SAAB 96 I'dd like to replace the tie rod ends. So the best option is to get new one's and grind of the bolts of the old tie rod ends, like enor mentioned.

Leave the steering arms on the hub, on the car.

Your nearest Brezan should be able to order them.
