Tyres on 95se 2.0lpt

I need to change tyres on my '99 95se 2.0LPT. I currently have Michelin Pilot Sport 225/45 17 z and have been quoted £97 each. I have also been quoted £77 each for Yokohama.
Should I stick with Michelin or go for the Yokohamas?
Any suggestions/recommendations as I have heard that Yokohama are a softer compound?

Hi and welcome to the board!

I'm currently going through the same thing...
Personally I'd avoid the yoko's as they are very soft, great for tracks etc... not so handy on the road!
I've been using Avon ZZ3's recently with no ill effects...
Currently on my shortlist....
Goodyear Eagle F1
Toyo proxies(?)
Bridgestone S03's

Yes got to agree on the Yoko's very grippy tyres for a short time and then there slicks :o Goodyear F1's have an excellent reputation plus have won many best tyre tests.
