: Which chip?

I've been reading the forums, gone through the web for hours but still couldn't make up my mind as to which chip should I choose for my 900SE 185HP? I was thinking about either the one from Hirsch (http://www.hirsch-performance.ch/) or from Abbott (http://www.abbottracing.com/).
Now, Hirsch gives more figures of what you can expect after upgrading, while Abbott gives only a graph. However the Abbott seems to give a bit more power compared to Hirsch (240HP :D vs 222HP :) ). Abbott is also cheaper compared to Hirsch, but I'm not exactly sure for what you pay at Hirsch - maybe it's not only the chip?
Please help me with this...

I am wondering the same thing, or atleast who sells the chips, but my car is a non-turbo (I know, it won't do too much for me), but it is fun to make things faster..... Is there one for my 90 2.3 non-turbo?

Making things run faster and more efficient is great.

Anyone have any experience with a chip mod or ECU upgrade for the 2.5L V6??

I don't believe there is anyone anymore that makes a chip for a non-turbo 900 except over is Europe which i don't think those chips will work on cars here. Let me know if u find one though!!!!

Well, I found a company in Poland that offers chip tuning for non turbo Saabs as well. The results are not great though, only +14HP is not as much as you'd expect.
Anyway, check http://www.vtech.pl/chips_catalog.htm if you're interested.

Hey guys,
swedish-cars likes swedish chips...

You should at least consider the following:
http://www.speedparts.se
http://nordictuning.com/
http://www.maptun.com

Ok, the sites might be in Swedish, but just
drop them an email.

What about "chips" and warranty issues? Anyone have any knowledge? Since Hirsch is the "official" Saab tuner, shouldn't their reprogrammed ECM's preserve the factory warranty?

You could also try BSR...
