Have you sold any to the US?
slob900 17-12-02, 10:32 AM I'm interested too :cheesy: I want the Viggen kit bad!
hello all,
So far nothing. Shipment is as you know way to expensive, so I guess I won't export them outside western europe.
regards,
Marc
hello all,
I just came back from the paint shop.
Respray in a different color will cost 375 euro!
Not that bad I think, especially if you know that it's an ISO paint shop.

Marc
swedishmotors 28-12-02, 04:41 PM Well, I cannot see a reason to import these parts to the US privately. Saab already does this for us! I'll get back to anyone interested on Monday with US prices.
Adam
Marc: I'm joining this rather late but do you have access to any more complete kits, i.e. front, rear and sides? I live in GE and could always drive up to get, if available. Please advise.
hello there,
Yes I can still get the parts, although it will take two or three weeks to get them.
For further details, contact me at marc.saab@pandora.be

Marc

a euro is almost exactly a U.S. dollar (.997 US dolla, to be exact) so it's basically the same.
waltdisneymt 04-03-03, 04:42 PM Hey Marky
Can these kits fit a 900s convertible 1995.
If so please e-amil me waltdisneymt@aol.com and can you still get them. Whats the price?
Thanks :D
Hello Matthew,
At the moment I have 2 brand new black sets left. One for a 3-doors or convertible and one for a 5-doors.
These sets will fit every 900 mk2 and 9-3. For the 900 you have modifie the bumper foams a bit, but that is practically the only difference.
The price is 1750€ for the complete kit. This includes the complete front bumper, the complete sideskirts, the rear bumper and everything which is needed in order to mount it.
a spoiler is not included.
Right now we have converted 4 cars: 2 9-3 coupe's, a 9-3 convertible and a 900 convertible.
For pictures you can always mail me. :D
Regards,
Marc
For pictures you can always mail me. :D
Or you could just post them and make everyone happy :D me included!! Or we can innundate you with emails!!
I would love to see how the 900 convertible looks...
Abbott 900 05-03-03, 10:21 AM I would be interested in seeing the 900 convertible with the Viggen kit on too.
I hope this works...

and it does... Yoohoo!
As you can see we've changed the rear too. We found it at a salvage yard. :cheesy:
Abbott 900 05-03-03, 11:22 AM Changed the rear end?
So is that a 900 or a 9-3?
This car is a 1996 900 convertible. I have more pictures of this car where you can see at the interior that it's a 900. Unfortunately these aren't online, but on my harddisc so I can't post them here.
Anyway I think this car looks stunning now. It has the 2.0 Turbo engine with 185 hp.
regards,
Marc
Abbott 900 06-03-03, 04:08 AM Is it just the bootlid you had to change or did you have to change the corner lights too?
I have a 97 900 convertible and I certainly like the look of the back end of that car.
We bought it at a set. Complete bootlid withe the corner lights and the two panels under the lights. Price was 800€ for everything, exept for the spoiler.
Regards,
Marc
Abbott 900 06-03-03, 07:58 AM It certainly looks good.
I think it looks great too... And since this topic is viewed over a 1000 :o times I think we're not the only ones :cheesy:
Philip HS 06-03-03, 10:11 AM It really looks like my 9-3 Viggen convertible! Stunning!
Yours,
Philip

What do you mean by the two panel's under the lights?
Did you have to weld in a new back section?
c34webb 06-03-03, 01:17 PM have a saab 9-3 convertable e-mail me a link plus I'm in the US so any aditional info on price :cheesy:
fliptopbin 07-03-03, 06:24 PM Will you be getting any more at a later date?
Abbott900: With the two panels under the trunklid I mean the corner panels. They just bolt on, but you'll need them because the 9-3 bootlid goes down vertical and not diagonal... If you understand me  hehe
c34webb: I'm going to te email you tomorrow, although I still haven't found a reasonable priced shipper  Anybody got some tips?
MartinMGR: What do you mean with a later date? Are wel talking about a week, month or years?
Kind regards to you all,
Marc de Hondt
http://www.saabtuning.be.tf (updated)
fliptopbin 09-03-03, 01:59 PM Well, it depends when I buy my 9-3 :D
We would be talking weeks -> months I should think... just wondered if there was a possibility?
Hey,
I'm don't know if I can get the kits at a later date. I will have 3 more kits at the end of this month or at the beginning of next month, but I'm affraid that is about it.
I still have 2 left, so I don't think it would be a problem for next month. Btw do you have any idea which color you are going to buy?
Regards,
Marc

things have changed a bit. I will only have two spare kits painted in black.

dasaabguy 23-03-03, 09:54 PM Whats up Marky and everyone else in the forum..... I just finished installing my "Saab Catalog Kit" front bumper cover and side skirts (was too tired to install the rear bumper, will finish next weekend)! I was really impressed on how the kit looked installed, it looks way more aggressive then I thought! I am a big fan of the "Viggen Kit" but its so expensive and hard to find.....this was the next best thing in the U.S. at least! I will take some pics of it tommorrow in the day cause it is night time here in California right now!
Happy Tuning 8)
What is the 'Saab Catalog Kit'? Are there pictures online anywhere?
Oh - nevermind...
It's the 9-3 kit for 99-02...
You got me all excited thinking there was something ofr the 900.

"20TEd" - Just thought you might want to know that..........
I installed the 9-3 kit on my 1995 Saab NG900Se Turbo COnvertible!
It took some minor modification but installation was fairly easily!
Let me know if you want more details on the kit once I post the picture of my Saab tommorrow!
dasaabguy 24-03-03, 12:36 PM Here is a pic of the front view of the "Saab Catalog" Kit upainted freshly installed! i will have more pics later today of the side skirts installed!
dasaabguy 25-03-03, 11:22 AM Ok guys here is another view of the front bumper!
dasaabguy 25-03-03, 11:23 AM Heres a side view of the front bumper and part of the side skirt!
dasaabguy 25-03-03, 11:25 AM heres a great side view close up! I cant wait to get this kit painted and my Saab lowered in the next couple weeks.
What kind of modifications did you have to make to it?
It looks great by the way! Really brings the 900 up to 93 looks!
dasaabguy 25-03-03, 12:52 PM Only modifications were to the fog light vents and the two inner vents on the kit. These had to be shaved down from the "inner side" of the kit to allow the kit to sit flush with the bumper! Took about 4 hours to install both the front bumper and 2 side skirts! I should be installing the rear valance this weekend, I will have to remove the rear wheels to drill and will have to get my muffler pipe extended so that my nice chrome tip to my sport exhaust is not tucked away!
sethsev7n 10-04-03, 04:08 PM now all you have to do is paint it hah.
I heard from someone that Saab makes viggen body kits and you can buy them in the US, i called SAAB USA and they are finding out for me. Anyone know of any other places in the US that they would sell them?>
Yeah! We want to see pictures with it painted - or are you still sporting the two-tone look?
some nice before and after pics!
Before:
dasaabguy 11-05-03, 01:13 PM look sweet Marky!!!!
OK - I'm jealous now - you can stop posting pictures...
Seriously, though - it looks incredible! But I'm still jealous!
thank you for the nice comment
so 20Ted, you wanted to see more pictures? :cheesy:
what about these
or maybe a 5-doors?
Blaque_Out 26-05-03, 10:18 AM I want to get a price on one too!!!! boydjc@msn.com. For a 96 900 SET
Blaque_Out 27-05-03, 02:13 AM Marc...where could I get that spoiler for my 96 900 SET, and how much? Is that considered the Coupe spoiler?
250gamma 27-05-03, 03:09 AM you can get the following one for an ng900 !
http://www.partsforsaabs.com/product_info.php?cPath=29_68&products_id=222
not cheap thought !
The spoiler is the original viggen spoiler and is really expensive. It consist of two pieces, one is $750 and the other one is around $1150....
It will fit any 900 or 9-3 tho
sethsev7n 21-08-03, 03:27 PM for anyone in the US.... the only thing i found out is that you can have your local saab dealer order all the necessary parts to do the conversion.. it totals to around 3000$.. with the rear spoiler being the most at 700$ something. As soon as i find my information on my desk somewhere ill post the part, part number, and price.
hehe funny, but I think you forgot some parts. Since I don't have access to the part numbers on this computer, i'll give you a list of what's needed:
- viggen front bumper
- tow eye cover
- front side retainers
- side skirts, L+R
- side jacking point covers (4 pieces)
- rear bumper
- rear side retainers
- viggen spoiler, consists of 2 pieces
- viggen spoiler mounting clips
- other exhaust, since the ending is placed differently
If your converting from a 900 you'll need:
- other bumper foams (altho you can cut the 900 ones, but it's a nasty job)
- new fender liners
- bottom plate
- new 9-3 foglights
- 9-3 grill
...
A lot of stuff :o
Saab4Life 21-08-03, 04:41 PM for those of us 9-3's , if i have that stupid black spoiler on my car, can it be removed and another spoiler added w/out much trouble?
Blaque_Out 21-08-03, 05:13 PM Dammnit....why can't there be an inexpensive aftermarket (definately not rice or plain nasty)spoiler made to fit our car
$700+ for a damn spoiler....comon
for those of us 9-3's , if i have that stupid black spoiler on my car, can it be removed and another spoiler added w/out much trouble?
If you already have the black spoiler, the mounting of another one is really easy since the viggen spoiler uses the same holes. The black plastic spoiler is hold with three nuts and two plasic clips which will break when you remove it.
Dammnit....why can't there be an inexpensive aftermarket (definately not rice or plain nasty)spoiler made to fit our car
$700+ for a damn spoiler....comon
that's for one part of the viggen spoiler only :o . As I said before, it consists of two pieces! The second piece will be around 1150, which make the total around $1900
now that's expensive. The reason is actually quite easy, saab wants to be sure the viggen owners get what they pay for, by making all the viggen parts really expensive, so look a likes in spe will back off after hearing the prices.
I guess they failed here :D 8)
Blaque_Out 22-08-03, 12:01 AM Well im sure going to look for one nationally at a junk yard...hopefully they won't know about about the $1900 price tag on it
I still think its ****ty tho
