Can I use a gearbox of a 900 Turbo 16 (1990) to put in a 900 S (LPT-1993) ? If yes, what work and modifications are needed ?

I'm pretty sure it will bolt right in- no modifications necessary. The only difference between the turbo and non-turbo gearboxes is the final drive gear. This just means that at identical speeds, an engine with the turbo gearbox will run at lower revs than an engine with the non-turbo gearbox.
I believe the front cover will have to be swapped as the non-turbo uses the old style front motor mount.
Other than that it should bolt right up.

The LPT is a turbo, but it would have a solid front motor mount. And type 6 primaries same as a non-turbo.
I put an 93' non-turbo gearbox into my 86' turbo with no mods at all, straight bolt-in. The front motor mount was newer and I kept my old gearbox dipstick, but that was about it, if memory serves me.
