Opinions welcome on this dilemma!
I'm looking for another 9000 and saw some advice which said buy something as close as you can to an Aero, without it actually being an Aero. So, I'm looking for a 97-98 2.3Turbo (possibly an Annivesary) and the question is - What is the difference between a 97-98 2.3T CSE and a 97 Aero?
What would you do?

I think that price and condition are the most important factors. BHP and handling of Aero can easily be surpassed with fairly cheap mods to a fpt 2.3.

I think that the very last 2.3 FPT CSE got the Aero turbo and 225bhp, but I'm not certain. Whether it got the same suspension, I have no idea. I think it was only the Aero that ever got the lovely 'bucket' type seats.

I think the late 2.3 Anniversary models did get 225BHP - don't know about suspension mods though.

Whichever you get, they are both easily upgradeable - brilliant cars for the money too - can't believe how much they are depreciating of late....
