i seem to have a stalling problem with my automatic 89 saab 9000 turbo... it only happens after driving for a long period of time and when i come to a stop. the rpm just drops and the engine dies on me. sometimes it won't even start back up until after a couple minutes. i've noticed that the engine gets pretty hot being here in hot sunny florida, but the temp guage gets about 3/4 high. i've taken my baby to a couple shops but they haven't been able to fix the problem. also sometimes the gears seem to give me a jerky shift... does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong? :roll:

Towards the jerky gears have you checked the tranny fluid? If its low top it up or better yet do a tranny flush and make sure they put the proper fluid in. Now about it stalling sorry I can't help you with that one
