I've never had a car with ABS, so I am just wondering if this is normal...

The ABS light behaves normally and the ABS does work. When the ABS starts to operate though, you really feel a hammering back pressure though the pedal. The first time I felt it, it almost knocked my foot back off the pedal! With my big feet and boots :cheesy: , it ain't a problem, but I am wondering if e.g. my wife could hold the pedal down when ABS is working.

Is this normal or does it indicate a fault?

Wouldn't say it was a hammering but you can certainly feel it through your foot.

Perhaps it's normal then. I'll get Paco to test drive it again and see what he thinks, but I'll have to show him where the brake pedal is ;)

Had to use my ABS for the first time ever today :roll: and it is quite a pressure that you get back - very mechanical, and it does move your foot (albeit slightly). Took me a bit by surprise too! :o

It stopped the car very sharply though, even on a steep downhill wet and greasy road :D
