I did the APC upgrade, and it works great...most of the time. Every once in a while, even before I did the upgrade, the needle will only make it halfway into the yellow. I was wondering if anyone knew of a reason for this?

sounds like base boost. Is your brake switch sticking? (some APC automatically put car is base boost when the brakes are on)

This happened to me intermittently, turned out to be the old fave- vacumm hoses going brittle with age, changed one, then another, then another, basically the old "chain is as strong as it's weakest link" scenario. Change em all if you haven't already, it cured a catalog of minor ills.
