Inherited the wife's base '99 9-5 5-speed after she bought a new 9-3. My previous cars were an '01 9-3 and a Civic SI.
Bottom line, this 9-5 is slooooooow. I can't find any obvious quick fixes other than the exhaust from the Saab catalog. Aren't there cold-air or Ram intakes for these things? If so, where?
Also, are there any relatively simple power upgrades?

well, do you have a 2.0t or 2.3t?
relatively cheap 65 horsepower in my opinion :)

There are more options that the Saab Remus system. Also BSR and JT. Catback or complete and Stainless of Aluminized like factory. Depends on your application. Not a one size thing. We also have drop in air filters and open air kits too.
Since you are in the USA have a look at our US based site. We are a sponsor of this board. Most parts for the 9-5 are in stock for immediate shipping. If you have any questions just call or e-mail.

I would just like to make an endorsement for both links presented to you. I have bought from both Taliaferro and PartsforSaabs within the last week or so and both have great products and great service to go along with great pricing. It is nice to be able to ring Nick at Taliaferro (www.genuinesaab.com) with any questions and get good experienced advice from a fellow enthusiast. I'm sure partsforsaabs.com provides the same service but since they are out of the country I have not called them via phone. Simon is extremely quick to reply to emails however. You can't go wrong with either.

I think that is cheaper than PFS :)

PPC is on sale at PFS. Picked mine up shipped to the US for $825. I already had the filter so that price was just for the PPC. There is no core charge or having to ship anything with the PPC...definately slick.
Keep them coming. 60 more hp sounds very appealing.
