This Beemer showed up at the Brooklin Bridge when I was tooking pics of my Saab at the Bridge. I had never seen one before. He said that it was a 2002 Z8. I like the look kind of. Although I would never own a BMW.

I saw one of those near me the other day. I did wonder if it was really a BMW as the driver was actually indicating!

Ahh yes, the Z8. BMW's last gasp at REAL styling. Unfortunately, the thing didn't last very long since it cost as much as a lot of middle class houses.

the Z8 was in one bond movie, I forget which one but I think it was the second to last one.

depends on where you are, i guess. $130k around here won't buy you more than a 400 sq ft studio in the ghetto.
saw 2 of those this weekend. one black and another silver just like that one.

I think Z8 was a V8. The car was from Conn. This happened today Sunday the 13th June at 10:00am. When it got close to it, it looked like someone had puked on the hood and the boot. Man if that were my Saab I would have at least gone to gas station and run some water on it to wash it a little. He didn't seem to care very much.
It is no longer being made.

it was meant to be a limited production run.

Indeed an 8 cylinder and priced around $135K. It was intended as a limited production niche car and cetainly fits the bill. 400 horsepower if I recall. That's a ton of power for a roadster.

I'd love a Z8, but new it cost more than my 4-bedroom house...

M5 drivetrain and suspension bits into a little sportster and that was the Z8...
Was in "the World is Not Enough" (1999).
I remember seeing it at the 2000 autoshow, price tag : $195,500 Canadian....
I raced one in my mom's Corsa 1.2 once. It was dark, on a small twisty road, and I figured the driver wouldn't be familiar in the area. Of course, when the road widened and straightened, he closed up on me in no time and I was kind enough to let him pass. :cheesy:
