I'm thinking of changing my standard back box for a s/s sports one as the original one is looking a little tatty. I am interested in Abbott's one, but in the Saab Owners mag, there is an advert for very good deals on complete s/s exhausts - £341 for a complete system excluding front pipes. Can anyone give me some advice?
Try these guys. Custom made stainless stell exhausts for a fraction of the price Abbotts charge!

Jeremy/.
Get advise about front bit first, I have been told on more than one occasion that a different and more free flowing design right from engine, manifold and back can make a hell of a difference. I removed CAT , and have got an Abbott rear box( too expensive , looks good though) and hardly any difference. Wish I has started at the "real" front when I had the dosh !!

Simon.
I'm going to LongLife exhausts today to get a front downpipe for my 95 Aero sized up. They reckon £140 for the downpipe. I'll you know what happens.
My understanding is that this is where the gains are to be had. I would suggest stock system from the cat back because the gains appear to be so small from what I've heard.
