Does anyone know who the manufacturer of this kit might be?

Don't know about the manufacturer for that kit, but Speedparts do upgrade kits for 9-5's too, for 2.0t (MY 1998-2000):
Step 1:
150 hp +65 hp
240 Nm +113 Nm

There are upgrades even for 9-5 Aero's (325hp and 470Nm for about 9000Eur)!

Looks like Saabs own factory tuning kit, uprates to 192bhp... only for pre 01 2.0 lpt's.....

Will that kit work with my late model 9000 lpt? Cos if it will I'll snap they're hand off!

Will only work with 9-5 2.0 lpt...
9-5 uses Trionic 7, think the 9000's only got up to Trinonic 5?

Does anyone have experience with the upgrade kit from Saab? I'm looking into the benifits of getting the kit from Saab over going aftermarket for individual parts.

The 9-5s with the DI module are Trionic 7. 9000s had Trionic 3,5. along with LH.

The kit works ok I guess. The US Spec 2.3 LOT gets a 15hp boost to the current 185hp from the 170hp. The kit includes an updated T7 ECU, Spark plugs, and 1 or 2 other things. Basically all you're doing is putting a 2001 engine managment system in 2000. Saab specified that it only covers the 2000 model year (though I assume it would work on a 1999).

BTW... I work for International Motors down in VA, I'm a tech. You?

You'll probably find that due to saab upgrading the internals of the 2.3 to 'aero spec' regardless of output on the MY00 models... so perhaps them deem it acceptable to have 185bhp...

Me... I'll stick to 246bhp on my 99
