Staggered wheels

Hi, I have been looking to upgrade the wheels on my 2011 9-5 Turbo4 Premium.

I know that with adapter rings, BMW wheels will fit and there are a lot of them for sale. However, most of the wheels I find have a staggered setup. If I get them, I would probably use the wider wheel upfront instead of the BMW's setup of 19x8.5 front / 19.9 back.

Has anyone tried this? Would it cause any problems having different size wheels/tires front to back?

Thanks

Yes. In FWD cars, you usually want the front track wider than the rear to reduce the amount of understeer, but...

The NG9-5 isn't as understeer prone as its predecessors. It's fairly balanced, so you can likely get away with keeping the track even, as it comes from the factory. You'd need to check whether the offset was the same on both sets of wheels.
