Scary sh*t right there..

Edit: PLEASE do NOT turn this into a thread about whether guns should be allowed in whatever place or not or anything like that..

Do you reckon it is time to remove the right to carry arms yet then?

Damn man, good to see you're alright.

With comments like that one, a "political" argument is imminent. I've seen Moderators delete posts and lock threads in similar situations. Please practice what you preach.

How does a highschool cafeteria worker drive an Escalade?

fair comment i think.. as a 'lounge' is it the place for such 'non-saab' debate? (if it were to happen) easy to see possible mis-understanding for those conditioned to views on each opinion..

best left at that?

Aww, you're no fun.

Lol, that's what we were all wondering too.. And, how did her husband end up with a Corolla (or some small thing like that) when she had an Escalade..

What would anti-gun people do with all their free time then?

I'm not shy about debating topics. It just seems a bit off to me that a Moderator would toss in a topic like that one since they've killed more than their share of good topics for stuff like that.

Married for 23 years, she's 39, was 16 at her wedding. He's 52 was 29 at the wedding. Motto buy viagra 8) ,or an escpade , but not a gun.

Wait, does this belong here? I mean, neither was in a Saab, right?

(No offense meant to the original poster -- this stuff *is* freaky when it happens close to home.)

Glad to hear that you are OK Bassist!

One suggestion for you ... if they are offering councelling at the school ... don't be shy about using it.

Good luck and if there is anything any of us can do to help you over this, don't hesitate to let us know.

Wow that's horrible... :o

I don't really want to be the one getting this thread locked, but I can't see guns ever getting banned in this country. However, they make killing SO easy. It takes a serious psycho to stab someone, but pulling a trigger is painless and easy, and it only takes one error judgement to end a life.

God, someone please edit that out. :-?

And she drove an "Escapade"...that's a good one.

I am a gun owner and gun advocate. Firearms are your friend as long as you treat them with respect and are trained appropriately. I've served my country in time of need and may do so again in the very near future. The problem I see with firearms is the lack of training and respect that needs to be taught to these kids. I REFUSE to blame this on video games or TV but instead blame the parents of said untrained individual. I have NEVER had an accidental discharge of a weapon and I treat all firearms as if they were loaded at ALL times. I will never point a weapon at anyone unless I intend to pull the trigger. That said, I'm glad you're ok and I'm glad I live in a country where we have the right to bear arms.
-Dirk
p.s. there are towns in the US where it is REQUIRED to carry fire arms. The most violent crimes there are committed with knives! Something to think about.

I'm a gun owner to some extent (pellet guns and a .22), and I handle larger weapons fairly often. All I can say is that I wish all gun owners were like you and I. You are very right about education as well...I mean, there are just STUPID people out there. And crazy ones too. I think that the real solution is not to remove guns, but to regulate them and provide better education. And these aren't just kids doing the shooting; these are irresponsible adults, many of whom I'm sure are gun advocates. :cheesy:

Guys, lets worry about the people affected by this and not get into the gun debate ... as Bassist5 said in his first post about this ...

Ahem...Bassist 5, you could have your band give a free concert to the school to ease the shock of this tragedy!

BTW dude if you know anyone selling a cheap 1960-1970 stratocaster, please let me know. :cheesy:

BEN :nono; Forums aren't for that, use the classifieds :cheesy: , also you'll not get a pre CBS buyout cheap unless it's a nasty piece of firewood with metal bits attached.

Bassist5, if councelling doesn't appeal, find 11 on your amp and let rip 8)

I'm sorry raggy, I'm just so desperate.

I saw one gorgeous 1964 sunburst strat, and grew rather attached to it....just the right level of wear; then I found out that they wanted like $3000 for it. I'm gonna end up with some late '90s mexican axe...oh well anything sounds good with .13-.56 strings!

I know I know, but I don't really WANT to discuss school shootings! They don't turn me on.

Oh, I'm perfectly fine, don't mind me. I just thought it was something for everyone to think about, y'know?
