Read this letter from a Porsche GT2 driver when he discovered he could not stand off my 9000 AERO race car at our PCA track event. Click on "GT2 The Beast", Red machine labled in picture is the AERO. Look in More photos of Lewistown for more photos during the two day event.

I am a PCA instructor and had a chance to work with him during the event after our encounter.

Welcome aboard. Nice driving. A well written account too. I'd expect a vette to be doing battle there. Nice to see saab doing so well.

Neat, I still want to take my car to a track someday. Want to do it stock w/exception to the tires just so i know what they can do stock.
if you don't mind me asking, What do you have done to your aero? Or do you have a webpage with all the mods so you don't have to type them out?
thanks,
Ian

Let's have more pics!

Yep, more pics please.
Last weekend my friend got married and the wedding car was another mate's 996 turbo (the latest version). I felt sorry for his new bride getting into the back
So, there was a three car convoy, 996 turbo, 996 carrera 4 and my trusty old 9000 aero. Had no problems keeping up with the carrera 4 but my mate driving the turbo was surprised to see me up close in his rear view on more than one occasion, at one point I went flying past him 8)
His words when we got back to the house "F*@%ing hell Zar, that thing flies!!!" I think he was impressed :D
Another thumbs up for the trusty old Saab 8)

Well I'm sure mine is'nt running anything like The Red Machine but I have a JT 3" exhaust system and sport cat and a JR air filter. I don't think base boost is correct at the moment though. Stage 3 Maptune ecu is on the cards :D

awesome! amusing how in brackets he wondered if it was an audi. the relative anonymity (or low profile) of our brand can make for some suprises ^_^

Posted here a while ago, two guys in Sweden who are putting a turbo 2.3 Saab engine in the back of a 911 SC.

These are the tires that I run for track events. The slicks only for autocross and hillclimb, ie shorter stints.
