Just wondering who all went to carlisle? I just got back, and had a blast. looking to put a few names to the faces of the people I chatted with but didn't know who they were from the forums. BTW, I was the sunburnt one with the 88 900 SPG that has the pic of eric carlson next to a rolled 2 stroke saab drinking a beer. :lol: I did not take any pics myself of the event (forgot my digicam!) but I will post the pics one of my friends (burnside42) took once they are uploaded. good meet! what did we end up with, 130 saabs in the end? rather good turn out! shame about the drive being cut short cause of that accident, but doing a hill climb with 300 lbs of parts in my trunk, AC on full blast, almost no rear tires... fun fun! :cheesy:

oh and BTW the final count was supposedly 174 saabs :o and that was at dinner on Saturday, and i know there were a few more people that showed up on saturday. Apparently the goal for next year is 205, and im planning on being there, hopefully with at least two entries this time :cheesy: .

wow, great turn out! next year I am bringing the 99. no question had I brought my 99 this time, it would have easily been the 2nd nicest 99 turbo there, probably the 3rd nicest 99 out of ALL the 99's and probably the 1st or 2nd highest mileage car in the entire show. I really need a front spoiler though :nono;

Sorry for being so ignorant and not knowing, but ive only owned "a" saab so far. What Saab models are shown in the pics....epsecially the blue one, that looks amazing......and what mods are done to the exterior, if any?

Of course the year that I can't make it to Carlisle the sun shines saturday. Instead Jeff and I are freezing our butts off at the Mazda Rev It Up at the Naval Air Station in MA.

Maybe next year when the baby is old enough I can get back to Carlisle again.

the models in the pics are mostly C-900's. verts and 3 doors. I don't think there was a single 4 door 900 at the meet :nono; the lightning blue car I think you are talking about is a 1999 saab 93 viggen. to my knowledge, they only made them exactly like that for that one year. pretty sure it was 100% stock. engine is a 2.3 liter turbo, and it's quick! there were a lot of other saab models there but if you want to see/know more about them, come to carlisle next year :P

Carlisle was great this year, lots of sun, lots of Saabs, too!

Jon, love the pics they look great.

Billy's red 85 900T airflow looked great. ERP's car looked great too - looks good with Viggen bumpers.

I even won 3rd place in the Viggen category(even though there only 4 there!!).

Already can't wait for next year.

I was there on Saturday and got a nice sunburn along with a much needed cooling fan. I was sort of dissapointed at the lack of Saab parts however. I didn't get the chance to get a car in the show either, but it did drive the red Turbo none the less.

Well Roller Girl and I were doing most of the parking duties, so we saw most of you come in, too bad I didn't realize who so many of you were.

We did however meet Paul H.
