Hello all, Ive caught the Saab Bug big time. I've recently entered the sadan market and I cannot ignor the value on a 2011 never registered 9-5. Today I negotated a price on a Turbo 4 Premium with tech package and some cargo thing for $27,200, originaly MSRP was $47,000. I'm looking for some perspective on that price. I will also have to pay a big shipping cost cross country, likely $1200-$2000. Heres the other thing, Ive never seen one in person let alone gone on a test drive. Am I crazy? I appriate your perspective!
Make sure you check the hoses, belts and seals. Cars that have sat have a tendency to dry rot. Also gas turns to varnish if it sits. Make sure you start and drive it before you give over any money.
Car rides very smooth and is absurdly comfortable.
I'm 6'4" and the seat is nowhere near the end of the rails and plenty of space in back seat behind. (which there usually isn't)
As for price, It seems a bit steep unless it has barely any miles.
I paid $20k for mine and it only had 24k miles on it. However, it was not premium, but that should only add about 1.5-2k more I believe. Mine is also '11.
The key thing in your case to gauge the price is simply the miles IMO.
In fact, the dealership I got mine from has 4 '11 9-5 Premium's in stock to help you get a good idea of the price.
I actually stopped by there yesterday with a friend to see a 93x they have in stock.
Good Luck!
