: recommended lowing springs
ruffhouse 18-05-04, 10:50 AM What lowering springs do you guys recommend for the 9-5 sedan. I want a set that will take away the space between the top of the wheel and the bottom of the wheel well. I put aftermarker 17 inch wheels on the car and it looks like it has a lift kit on it. Thanks for your help
I've got Apex springs on my car and I am very impressed with them. There is a set of Vogtlands going cheap here...

Mattlach 18-05-04, 12:43 PM What kind of 9-5 is it?
If it isnt an Aero, these (http://www.partsforsaabs.com/default.php?cPath=2_189_207) might be worth considering.
As I understand it they are factory parts, that make non-Aero models handle like their Aero counter parts.
Maverickvii 18-05-04, 12:51 PM I recently put some B&G lowering springs (1.2") on my 9-5. The car looks and handles much better now. I got them through Shox.com.

You have a pic of how that looks?
I ask becasue I would like to make my car handle a little better, but I'm not a big fan of the lowered car look, and I'm curious how it looks on yours.
I kinda like the wheel and the wheel well on the car to be share the same center. In other words, I dont like it if theres less space on top of the wheel than there is infront of, or behind it...
Maverickvii 19-05-04, 12:32 AM Here are a couple of pictures of the car with B&G springs. They don't really make the look that different, but the ride is noticably better.
DriverEd 19-05-04, 08:15 AM Maverickvii, did you change the shocks as well, or just the springs?
Maverickvii 19-05-04, 02:01 PM I changed the shocks as well. I used the adjustable Koni yellows with the B&G springs.
frostgrey 19-05-04, 07:29 PM I have H&R Spring with Koni Yellows adjustable shocks!
ruffhouse 20-05-04, 10:52 AM the car is a 99 9-5 se sedan with the god awful 3.0 v6. which springs would be the best?
Mav - what brand of wheels are those? I love them!
Looking to go up to 18's on my 2k Aero...
mattfaulks 08-12-04, 11:15 AM If you know the spec of the standard springs (dimension and rate) Faulkner (no relation ) can produce springs to suit, they'll even advise on the springs rates etc. required to compliment the required reduction in spring length.

Matt
Maverickvii 08-12-04, 02:57 PM Hey Bobby, these wheels are Mille Miglia MM11-3s. I got them through Tire Rack. There actually only 16"s because I ddin't feel like buying new tires but I think the thin spokes make them look really nice.
I also just added an aero body kit, it compliments the wheels really well.
frostgrey 09-12-04, 04:19 PM this my car.

Maverickvii 10-12-04, 11:18 AM Hey Frost, are those Ronal wheels?
frostgrey 11-12-04, 09:01 AM No, those are 18" MVK 2

Maverickvii 17-12-04, 10:54 AM Patrik, You've got a gorgeous car. Saab classy but really sporty looking with those big five spokes and the suspension. It looks so low.
