I'm waiting to meet some friends for some drinks, and what pulls into a spot right in front but a bright orange Lambo Gallardo. After the driver left, of course I went out and checked it out.

But then the best part was watching how every single male who walked by either stopped to check it out, or fully craned his head around as he walked by. At one point there were about six 10-15 year olds gawking at it at the same time.

It is indeed a cool car.

I think that is the ultimate compliment seeing every single man, and even some females checking out your car. You should have taken pictures!

Meh I think the ultra high end sports cars just scream tacky/gawdy/new-rich etc.

I would feel way too obnoxious driving one.. Especially one that was brigth orange..

its the equivalent to running out into the street, sticking your hands in the air and yelling "EVERYBODY LOOK AT MEEEE! I'M SPECIAL!!!"

I really don't lik epeople like that. Thats exactly why I like Saab. Saab is what BMW used to be. A tasteful car that is fun to drive and comfortable that doesn't scream "self important prick".

My $.02...

i would feel way to obnoxious driving one, but then i would remember 400hp in a car more aerodynamic than an f-16 and somehow...that would soothe my soul.

it does get hilarious sometimes when you've got every timmy in a 5mile radius suddenly appearing with a camera-phone..
Mrs.Rhino has a relative with a Diablo, used as their daily driver :o it's comedy to see it parked in unusual places i.e. our narrow urban street where the Lambo is worth more than each house :cheesy:
the guy next door was outside one time washing his escort (with quality bodykit) when it arrived, started talking about servicing costs, performance figures and fuel consumption straight away.. good man 8) its the law.

you should have seen the guy who got out of it, you would have been rolling on the floor - exactly fit that description.

"it's tacky, it's tasteless, it's disgusting...

I have a guy nearby who owns a Ferrari 360 Spider. When he drives down my street the kids all run down the road and follow him to his driveway. He sometimes stops and lets them drool over his car. He lives in a tacky pink Italianate mansion with busts of ancient roman gladiators peering over the fences. The neighbourhood kids see them as a challenge to knock the heads off with various missiles. Nice car though, shame about the owner.

I'm sure I saw an article in the paper recently saying that the Rome Police have a Gallardo traffic car. 8)
