Question:

If you could have any one car in the world, what would it be? You can only choose one. Please post pics too!

I know what mine would be:

I'd didn't host it on this site. :cheesy:

I went through my Comcast web space, when you go through some other source, you are not limited to size or space. I normally do it this way because most other sites don't let you upload stuff to their servers, SC is unique in my experience with this feature.

I guess the only option for you would be to rip apart your curb to allow this car to enter your driveway.

However, there are only few streets I could drive the Lambo on within the city of Ottawa. The majority of them have potholes or uneven pavement which would not be a good thing. Also, it would be impossible to clear speed bumps with that thing.

Ettore Bugatti, the talented son of a family of artists from Milan, Italy, designed each legendary Bugatti car. Between 1909 and 1940, nearly 8,000 Bugattis - racing cars, sports cars, and luxury cars left his small factory. The most remarkable of all his cars was the Type 41 Royale. This car is six meters long with a wheelbase of 4.3 meters and a 12.7-liter, eight-cylinder engine. It has a three-speed gearbox, reaching 145 km/h in second gear. It took Ettore Bugatti almost two decades to perfect this car and it brought his company to the brink of ruin. Ettore had planned a series limited to only 25 cars exclusively for royals but only six were built. All six Royales remain and are, of course, very pricey.

i think the Cayenne is great. First up, it gives the rich folk more choice when looking for a vehicle that's hideously overpriced, rubbish offroad, dubious onroad and really 'says something about them'..

Best of all it gives people driving Fiat Multipla's the legitimate chance to laugh and point at 'that ugly car' :D

an FX45, for my Euro friends.

http://www.fushiki-etsuro.com/FX45.jpg

my father-in-law just bought an FX35 last year and loves it. even without the V8, it has a ton of grunt and is very comfortable to drive. we drove the 45 as well and it handles superbly. cargo room is limited, but with the bad roads we have here in new england, it's a great combination of ride height, suspension feel, steering feel, power, and luxury. all for about $45k. plus, it's Japanese! the only SUV i'd consider.

Working in the SAP world from time to time you see people with more money than common sense...

a few years ago one of the consultants had a taxi hitted with a big bore v8 from a camaro, running Nitros..

complete with the full lowride hydraulics , this car would bounce and grind its way down through west london and absolutely blow the c*ap out of anything that got in its way.

As for getting jpg's out of webpages, can I share a tip???
See the PRINT SCREEN key on your keyboard?? That has a use, actually. Center the picture you want to 'steal' in your browser. Press PRINT SCREEN. Open up MS Paint or a real program like Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com), then go to EDIT, PASTE. Trim and crop it to the way you like and save it as a jpg.
Kind of funny when you got to a webpage and you try to right-click a pic to save it and it says RIGHT-CLICK DISABLED or whatever (to prevent you from downloading it). Bah. Print Screen, paste, trim, voila.

But I really like the SLR too, but for some reason the SL keeps calling me.

And I wanted to get the entire page, so I just converted it into a PDF then put it it Photoshop and converted it into a JPEG. I didn't know that Adobe Acrobat would let you make a JPEG out of a PDF! (I found that out later)

And when pages say I can't download, I open the page in Firefox (after turning off scripting) and right click away! That or I open it on Dreamweaver and go through the source to get to whatever I need (I do that if I need a movie or something). 8)

i don't like the FX. the cayenne has the complete package. i could care less about the looks. i happen to like the way it looks.

it's got tons of balls and great off-road features. something the FX doesn't.

why get an FX when i could get a 93-x

baco99

why get an FX when i could get a 93-x

so you can drive through boston's pothole ridden roads without an alignment and a new rim every month.

i am not an SUV person, but you have to drive an FX45 to understand.

squishmann
19-05-04, 11:21 PM
i've driven the FX. i will not doubt that it is nice. but if money is no object i take the cayenne. if money is an issue i take the touareg. one stipulation is that the vehicle has to have the 4 corner air suspension.

w/ the air suspension you can lower the car to only a few inches off the ground, much like a wagon and use the damping control to make the suspension a lot firmer(sport).

baco99
20-05-04, 07:35 AM
i like the Toaureg too, but worry about VWs reliability. i have friends with Jettas and Passats and those cars are in the shop every month with some little glitch. having owned my G20 for 3 years now, i have had nothing but scheduled stops for service and one O2 sensor replacement.

i guess, when talking about SUVs, the money-is-no-object argument doesn't do it for me. they need to feel like cars, be comfortable, and reliable. and for me, it has to at least look good and not like a diseased elephant. the only one that meets those criteria (at any price) and also performs well, is the FX.

(EDIT: I should also mention that I would be pleased with a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited for the same reasons and better off-road ability.)
